Gabriel “Gaby” Soto is the newest member of FC Barcelona’s first-team squad.
Soto will wear the armband for the Spanish side on the final day of the 2017/18 campaign and is one of three players to wear the number 11 shirt in his debut season at the Catalan giants.
The Brazilian joined Barcelona in January and has scored two goals in his two appearances so far, while also making an impact in the penalty area with his assist for Luis Suarez in the Champions League final win over Real Madrid.
Sota’s debut season with the La Liga giants was marred by injury, but he was given a chance to show what he can do by starting in a match against Espanyol in February.
The striker played a crucial role in Espanyolt’s 3-1 win over the Catalan outfit, scoring both goals as Barca secured a 1-0 win.
Sotos current deal with the club expires in 2022, and Barcelona have made it clear they will not be extending it for a third season.
